Case of Indirect Pulp capping

14 year old girl came to conservative deoartment with presenting complain of mild to moderate pain on hot and cold stimulation on right mandibular first molar.A clinical examination reveals brown black discoloration and soft caries involving pits and fissures and distal marginal ridge of mandibular first molar. Tooth responds normally to vitality test. Periapical radiograph shows coronal radiolucency not involving pulp and no sign of periapical pathology.Decision was made to perform indirect pulp cappping.

Case report of C-Shaped canal

A 23 year old female was referred to operative dentistry department with the chief complain of pain in her right mandibular second molar. Clinical examination revealed large carious lesion which had destroyed the large part of the crown. Periapical radiograph revealed coronal radiolucency involving pulp chamber (fig 1) on pulp testing tooth was non responsive to stimuli so this lead to diagnosis of nonvital or necrotic tooth. Access cavity was prepared floor of the pulp chamber revealed the presence of C-shaped orifice extending from distal to mesiolingual canal (fig 2) after that the cavity was rinsed with 2.5% sodium hypochlorite. the working length was determined with 15 and 20 no. K-files inserted in canals and radiograph was taken working length radiograph revealed two separate canals with single exit point (fig 3). Cleaning and shaping was performed by crown down technique and thorough rinsing with 2.5% sodium hypochlorite after complete preparation the canal was dried with paper points and temporize with cavet. During second visit after two days the patient was completely asymptomatic temporary filling was removed and canals were irrigated with sodium hypochlorite and dried with paper points then root canals were filled with Endomethsone sealer and gutta percha points using lateral condensation technique and post obturation radiograph was taken.
